This past weekend at the central station, the cops had a lot of work to do. Nine arrests were made as a consequence of 140 checks.

At Zurich’s main station, a lady was attacked on Sunday night at approximately 8 o’clock. A witness reported seeing a woman on the ground to “20 Minuten.” “She was laying in a pool of blood, unconscious.” A guy continued to kick her. A lady who attempted to assist the sufferer was also assaulted. The first woman required hospitalization due to significant head injuries, according to a statement released by the police on Monday.

A 55-year-old Italian woman was allegedly attacked by a 26-year-old male from Eritrea. He then struck a 16-year-old girl who was attempting to assist the first victim. Soon later, the culprit was taken into custody. The public prosecutor of Zurich will hear from him. At the central station, the police conducted 140 checks between Friday night and Sunday.

Nine persons were detained, two of them were accused of perpetrating several thefts. Two other sets of persons were detained while in possession of a variety of possibly stolen items. According to the authorities, they are of Algerian or Moroccan nationality. Around thirty people were ordered to leave the station’s perimeter as a result of these inspections.
