During a campaign rally in New Hampshire this weekend, Donald Trump promised that he could end the war between Russia and Ukraine within a day.
Trump, who is again running for president, also stated that there was “zero risk” that the current war would have broken out at all had he remained president of the United States.
My personality kept us out of war. And as I said before, this with Russia would never have happened. Putin would never have entered. And even now, I could solve [the war] in 24 hours,” the former president continued, according to Newsweek.
Donald Trump, unlike other American presidents, has profiled himself as a politician who wants to solve rather than start world conflicts.
Last week he warned that the Ukraine conflict could soon develop into a nuclear war as the Western powers now continue to escalate the situation by sending tanks to Kiev.
“First come the tanks, then come the nukes. End this insane war NOW. So easy to do!” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social platform on Thursday.
