According to the first elements of the investigation, the two men shared the same residence. The investigation will have to determine if the suspect was hosted free of charge by the victim or was his tenant.
A man contacted the police overnight from Monday to Tuesday to warn that he had just had a dispute with his owner in Vigneux-sur-Seine (Essonne). The latter died shortly after and the tenant was taken into custody.
A 65-year-old man was beaten to death on the night of Monday to Tuesday in a dwelling in Vigneux-sur-Seine (Essonne) which he owned, located on Place Alain-Fournier. His tenant, a 35-year-old Algerian national who is said to be in an irregular situation on the territory, was arrested at the scene. He was taken into custody.
It was the suspect who gave the alert shortly after 4 a.m. to report that he had just had a dispute with his owner and that the latter had fallen to the ground. Quickly on the spot, the police discovered the victim who was lying on the ground, inert, in the house. She had serious head injuries. “The suspect was covered in blood and seemed very drunk,” says a source close to the case.
This man could have been hosted by the victim.
