A plainclothes police officer was attacked and robbed by a group of ‘North African’ suspects at a metro station in Paris last week, according to reports.
The incident unfolded at around 10:15 p.m. on October 7 in the French capital.
An undercover cop was approached by three males of ‘North African’ appearance on a platform at Saint-Paul station.
One of the suspects asked the man for a smoke.
“After asking him for a cigarette, which the police officer refused, one of the three individuals pretended to punch him while a second individual grabbed him by the shoulder,” a source explained to Le Figaro.
“The latter took his gold chain and a wedding ring used as a pendant.”
During the altercation, the officer was slammed into a railing, injuring his back.
The suspects fled the scene and have not been identified or caught, according to the latest available updates.
A heated debate over violent crime and lawlessness tied to mass migration has been raging in France.
