The FBI claims that during a raid on former US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort on August 8 that was authorized by Attorney General Merrick Garland, 11 sets of sensitive documents, including “TS/SCI” (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information) documents, were found.
According to the 45th POTUS’ niece, Jared Kushner might be the “Mar-a-Lago mole” who informed the FBI about secret documents held at Mar-a-Lago by the former president.
“We need to start with who would have access to this stuff. I don’t think Mark Meadows would have access to it,” Mary Trump said On The Dean Obeidallah Show on Friday.
Mary Trump continued after mentioning the former chief of staff:
“And we need to think about who could also be implicated in this that would need as big a play as turning Donald in in order to get out of trouble, or at least to mitigate the trouble they’re in… It sounds like somebody in Jared’s position. I’m not saying it’s Jared, but it could be.”
The eldest grandchild of Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump Sr., also mentioned a Saudi Arabian investment fund that made a private equity investment in Kushner’s company about six months after Donald Trump left the White House.
“I think we need to look very hard at why Jared got $2 billion. We need to look very hard at why he has been so quiet for so many months now,” Mary Trump said.

Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, has previously suggested that Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump’s husband and a prominent White House adviser during the Trump administration, might have been an FBI informant.
“It’s definitely a member of his inner circle,” Cohen told The Insider on Thursday, adding that he “would not be surprised to find out it is Jared or one of his children.”
According to Newsweek’s August 10 report, which cited two top government sources, the Mar-a-Lago raid on Monday was based on a confidential source and was authorized by Attorney General Merrick Garland. Additionally, it appears that the historic raid was planned to occur when Donald Trump was away from his Florida estate.
A group of FBI officers allegedly recovered 11 sets of secret information, including “TS/SCI” (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information) documents, after carrying out the search warrant.
In a statement on August 12, Donald Trump asserted that all of the materials kept at his home were secure and unclassified. He fiercely condemned the raid as a Democrat and establishment Republican effort to use the US law system as a weapon against political rivals.
Trump claimed that the raid was a part of a plot to keep him from running for president in 2024. He has not yet formally announced a second candidacy for the White House.
The raid was carried out as part of a federal investigation into possible violations of the Espionage Act, removal or destruction of records, and obstruction of an investigation, according to the search warrant signed by Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on August 5 and unsealed by the US federal court.
Records destruction carries a possible 20-year prison sentence, whereas a charge of defense information breach carries a maximum 10-year prison term. According to US law, a charge of record concealment carries a sentence of up to three years.
In a post on his Truth Social network on Saturday, Donald Trump once more denounced the court-authorized FBI raid as a “hoax and swindle,” adding:
“Like all of the other Hoaxes and Scams that they’ve used to try and silence the voice of a vast majority of the American People, I have TRUTH on my side, and when you have TRUTH, you will ultimately be victorious.”
