A few cowardly German so-called “academics” are calling on Ukraine to surrender to Russia and let Russia conquer them and turn them into slaves.
Andrey Melnik has slammed the signatories of an open letter which calls on the West to stop providing Ukraine with weapons.
Kiev’s ambassador to Berlin has insulted a group of German intellectuals, who penned an open letter advocating the end of arms deliveries to Ukraine. The signatories called on the West to make Volodymyr Zelensky’s regime negotiate peace.
Commenting on their appeal, Andrey Melnik tweeted “Not again” on Thursday, adding in English: “What a bunch of pseudo-intellectual loosers (sic).” and he is completely right! WHAT DOES SURRENDER EVEN MEAN in this case? Ohh ok Russia you can conquer our country and we will be your eternal slaves?
Referring to some of the signatories by their last names, Melnik suggested they “should go to hell with [their] defeatist advice.”
The open letter, which infuriated the Ukrainian diplomat, was published in Germany’s Die Zeit newspaper on Wednesday, titled “Ceasefire now!” In it, a group of 21 German academics, philosophers, journalists, artists and ex-diplomats urged the “West to end the Ukraine war through negotiations.”
According to the signatories, it is the EU’s duty to “restore and secure peace on the continent.” To this end, countries should come up with a strategy, which would bring the hostilities to an end as soon as possible, the appeal suggests.
“Ukraine has so far been able to defend itself against the brutal Russian aggressive war thanks to, among other things, massive sanctions and military support,” they argued.
However, the longer these measures last, the less clear their end game is, they added. In these intellectuals’ eyes, it is highly unlikely that Ukraine will be able to regain control of “all occupied areas including Donetsk and Lugansk regions and Crimea,” as Russia is “militarily superior and has the ability to mount further military escalation.”
In light of these considerations, the letter urges Western nations supporting Ukraine militarily to ask themselves “what goal they are pursuing and whether (and for how long) weapons deliveries are still the right way.”
The signatories go on to warn that the continuation of the armed conflict would mean thousands more deaths, as well as “massive humanitarian, economic and ecological emergencies all around the world.” The letter refers to food shortages in Africa and rising prices further afield as further proof of this point.
The West, the authors argue, must be united in its opposition to “Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and further revanchist aspirations.” However, the “continuation of the war in Ukraine is not the solution,” the German cowardly academics say.

I see you are from Romania… and how would Russia conquering Ukraine benefit Romania? Why would you want to be a neighbor with Russia again? Have you forgotten how many problems you guys had with them? They stole Moldova (Bessarabia) from you, they killed hundreds of thousands of Romanians, sent them to Siberia, they stole your Treasury worth of 120 tons of gold during World War 1, they forced you to pay war reparations after World War 2. America didn’t order Germany or Japan to pay war reparations, in fact America helped them with the Marshall plan while Russia stole all your resources through the SovRom program. To make it simple for you, who fell in the sphere of influence of America, got helped, who fell in the sphere of influence of the Russians, got ripped off. Furthermore they forced you guys to exile your king Michael and made you communists. You should be the last man on Earth to support a country like Russia. You have no benefits with Russia, nothing to gain out of becoming neighbors with these godless demons. If Ukraine disappears, then YOUR country becomes “the buffer zone”. Right now you are lucky, Ukraine is the buffer zone between East and West. Pray for Ukraine to exist as independent and wake up to the truth! Help Ukraine as much as you can. Think about it, you know it is the truth.
I only way total order can be restored in Ukraine, is when Russia either control it or Ukraine must have a pro-Russian government. Live with that, Mr Author.

The Belorussian example is not really a good one because Belarus is being led by a communist dictator. Every protest attempt has been squashed by him. Wanna reject and deny? Deny what? We know there have been protests there, we know he is truly a communist, he proudly displays the hammer and sickle everywhere…
Aside from that, Belarus hasn’t really had a history behind it trying to be independent from Russia. Ukraine did.
Explain to me why should I support Russia killing Ukrainians and illegally occupying them against their will???? Why? So Russia can be happy? What about Ukraine’s happiness? F**k Russia and its happiness. What do you say about that?
