Six teenage girls were sexually assaulted by about 30 immigrants from North Africa on board a train to Milan. The incident has provoked strong reactions in Italy.
The Italian girls, who are between 16 and 17 years old, had on June 2 had fun at the amusement park Gardaland.
But when they took the train back to Milan, the day turned into a nightmare. A group of about 30 Arabs showed up and started going on a sex attack.
– We were surrounded. The heat was suffocating and some of us fainted, says one of the victims to Italian media.
The mob laughed as they slapped at the girls and sexually insulted them.
– White women do not usually come here, one of the perpetrators exclaimed while the abuse was going on, according to the girls.
The six victims did not immediately alert the police for fear of being beaten by the perpetrators. Instead, they decided to call their parents, who in turn contacted the police. According to the parents, however, no one intervened to stop the sexual abuse until a boy finally showed up and helped the girls get off at the next stop.
“They managed to get to Desenzano del Garda, shocked and in tears, and we parents went to pick them up. Now I wonder, how is it possible that things like this can still happen ?!” writes the mother of one of the girls on Instagram.
Several well-known politicians on the right wing have reacted to the incident.
On Twitter, Lega Nord party leader Matteo Salvini sarcastically wrote on Twitter:
“Shameful, abominable. I expect effective intervention from [Home Affairs] Minister Lamorgese and harsh condemnations from the left and feminists. Do you think I will wait long?”
Maria Teresa Bellucci of the Italian Brothers party compares the train incident to the massacre in Milan on New Year’s Eve, which also involved a North African sex mob and teenage girls, and demands that the government launch a plan to overcome the problem.
Luca Zaia, Governor of Veneto, commented on the abuses as follows:
“It is inconceivable that women and girls should be harassed and threatened in this way in this country. I appeal for zero tolerance and for the police to do their utmost to find those responsible.”
Nobody can rationally explain why white Christian countries are allowing these non-Europeans to invade our countries and live among us.
