One person was killed in an attack with a knife late Sunday evening in an accommodation for asylum seekers on Argenstraße in Kressbronn.
At least five others were injured, some seriously.
According to the previous criminal investigation, shortly before 10 p.m., a 31-year-old resident of the accommodation knocked on several rooms and then stabbed those present indiscriminately.
After the arrival of several alarmed police patrols, the suspect was arrested in front of the building without resistance.
In addition to the fire brigade, a large number of emergency services from the medical service were on site to care for the injured and to look after the other residents.
One of the seriously injured was flown to a hospital by rescue helicopter after receiving first aid from the emergency doctor, the others, whose state of health was also classified as critical during the night, were taken to nearby clinics by the rescue service.
The Friedrichshafen criminal police department has taken over the investigation into the crime.
In addition to the exact sequence of events, the background to the crime must also be clarified, which is currently still unclear.
Forensic experts secured evidence at the crime scene until early Monday morning.
