But they aren’t the same. Covid restrictions’ purpose is to stop people from moving. That in turn lowers energy prices because people aren’t buying gas. With Russian sanctions the purpose is to stop buying Russian oil, which RAISES energy prices and in turn makes it HARDER for people to move.
