Major European powers like Germany and Austria continue to buy Russia’s gas and oil, refusing to cut the imports while the hypocrites blame Hungary for doing the same. Well now, Germany, why don’t you set an example and you become the first to but the imports???
You want impoverished nations like Hungary who barely earn enough money to put bread on the table to cut the gas imports and return to the stone age while you hypocrites won’t cut the imports? You go first, cut the imports and then show how its done, but no, they won’t cut their imports for their dear industry like BASF.
German industry can keep producing products that they can then merchandise around the world but Hungary can’t. Western Europe said that it will TRY to cut Russian imports of gas and oil by 2030, but Eastern European countries like Bulgaria, Poland and Hungary can cut the imports starting today because, why not? Screw Eastern Europe… they can starve!
Poland and Bulgaria have already been cut off from all Russian gas and now the EU is pressuring Hungary but it is amazing that they are not even thinking about cutting the Russian energy sooner than 2030!
That’s a lot of years there, 8 freaking years. In 8 years Russia will accumulate a lot of billions from Western Europe. Russia earns about 1 BILLION Euros A DAY from Western Europe from gas and oil. So you go ahead and make the math how many trillions they will accumulate in 8 years until Western Europe MIGHT cut the Russian energy imports.
In 8 years Russia can conquer not just all of Ukraine but Finland, Sweden and many other countries.
This is the same old, same old evil Western Europe being Western Europe, not giving a single excrement about Eastern Europe. Really enraging! Thank you Western Europe for funding Russia’s war machine while condemning Eastern EU states for not cutting their funding.
The good part is that Hungary is showing Western Europe the middle finger and tells them to their face that they don’t care what they think. They will keep importing the gas because they need it and that’s it.
Here’s a report regarding Hungary’s condemnation:
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has claimed that his country has been receiving unjustified attacks for being honest about its dependence on energy supplies from Russia.
“We’re looking at this issue solely from the perspective of Hungarian national interests. We’re not interested in what the East or the West thinks about it,” Szijjarto said on Tuesday during a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
“The real security of supplies is an issue for us because it’s currently physically impossible to run the Hungarian economy without Russian oil.”
The minister stressed that Hungary gets around 65% of its oil from Russia through the Druzhba (Friendship) pipeline.
Budapest confirmed earlier that it will not back an embargo on Russian energy as part of EU sanctions on Moscow over its military campaign in Ukraine.
Szijjarto said that Hungary had voted for all of the previous sanctions packages but is still receiving “unjust and unfair” attacks.
The EU promised to do away with Russian fossil fuels by 2030 but stopped short of an immediate ban on oil and gas, defying calls from Kiev to do so.
Reuters reported on Monday that Brussels may exempt Hungary and neighboring Slovakia from an embargo on Russian oil, which could be included in the latest batch of sanctions.
Russia attacked the neighboring state in late February, following Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German and French brokered protocols were designed to give the breakaway regions special status within the Ukrainian state.
The Kremlin has since demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it was planning to retake the two republics by force.
Le’t all first see West Europe cut all its energy imports from Russia, right now, today, not in 8 years, and THEN, have demands and expectations from nations like Hungary, Bulgaria and Poland to also cut their imports.
On the other hand though, the question is if this war is even real and not a globalist staged plot, why isn’t Ukraine turning off or cutting these pipelines as most of them are passing through their country???
For example the pipeline which is fueling Hungary now and the EU is being angry about is called Druzhba Pipeline and yes it goes through Ukraine. It makes no sense why Ukraine isn’t cutting off these pipelines in order to cut Russia’s funds from Western Europe…… its almost as if this whole thing is staged, isn’t it?
