Diverse Gangs battle on the streets of Perpignan France, screams of Allah Akbar are heard

Perpignan France brawl

A massive street fight took plac e this Saturday, May 21 in the early evening in Perpignan, Place Gambetta between gangs of Arabs and Africans.

The scene is unusual. This Saturday, May 21, between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., a general fight broke out between around forty teenagers in front of the cathedral of Perpignan.

These young people, aged for the majority of 15 to 16 years, exchange blows place Gambetta. A video, filmed by a local resident, testifies to the violence of certain blows. Teenagers end up on the ground. Others have their clothes torn off. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. On the spot, the municipal police very quickly dispersed the teenagers. No complaint has so far been filed. No arrests took place.

But how could a general fight break out between so many teenagers, in broad daylight, on the forecourt of Saint-Jean Cathedral?

“Here is the famous ‘feeling of insecurity’ which plagues Perpignan. This evening, major fight with cries of ‘Allah Akbar.’ Forty teenagers,” wrote a user who shared the video on Twitter.
