The Holy Shroud is a linen cloth bearing the image of a man who appears to have suffered physical trauma in a manner consistent with the crucifixion. It is kept in the royal chapel of the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista in Turin, northern Italy, and is exhibited every 10 years. It is believed to be the burial sheet of Jesus Christ.
Scientists believe that the image on the Shroud of Turin, believed to be the funerary shroud of Jesus Christ, was created by an ultraviolet “flash of light”. However, this technology was not available before the 20th century.
The new statue shows the wounds of the man in the shroud who is believed to be Jesus Christ.
The Shroud of Turin is a centuries-old piece of cloth believed to have been used to wrap Christ body when placed in the tomb. According to tradition, the cloth contains the imprint of Christ’s body.
After studying and constructing a statue of the man from the Shroud, sculptor Sergio Rodella, wrapped a copy of the cloth around the model to see if it accurately matches in its depiction of the man.
Ivan Marsura, Director of the Museum of Popes, says many other previous models hypothesizing the possible man from the Shroud have been more artistic than scientific.
According to Ivan, this new statue supports centuries of studies, and also may help to understand if the Shroud is a fake or a real relic.
“I can say that for the first time everything practically matches between the Shroud of Turin and this statue.”
The construction of this statue has even helped historians obtain new information about the man from the Shroud of Turin.
“The man of the shroud had semi-paralysis. The hole for the nails is not on the pulse, but on the hands.”
The statue was constructed after more than 2 years of anatomical studies. Three times Rodella was forced to demolish his model and rework it. This was to ensure the most accurate representation of the man from the Shroud.
Sergio first constructed an iron skeleton model and used virtual reconstruction with computer-aided design.
He even used negative photographs of the Shroud, mathematical grids and transparent paper to more precisely identify the wounds and scourges this man suffered.
They hope to produce replicas of the original statue in four different materials, plaster, marble, bronze and wood to distribute to churches across the globe.
The exhibition was recently on tour in Rome and Sergio plans to take it around the world. It also includes original photographs of the Shroud of Turin as well as relics of Christ’s cross, blood, crown of thorns, a piece from the Shroud and other artifacts.
The authenticity of the Shroud of Turin is being contested but when you are an atheist with an agenda, well everything is being contested. The Shroud is radiocarbon dated to be from 1260 and 1390 and this is the only “evidence” atheists have to reject the Shroud as being real, however we here at EUTimes know as a FACT that radiocarbon dating is for the most part innacurate to say the least, if not even downright FAKE. For example a cowboy’s fossilized foot has been carbon dated as being 40 million year old.
Shells of LIVING oysters and snails are being carbon dated as being tens of thousands of years old… carbon dating is a joke!
Additionally, the Shroud of Turin contains all the exact wounds that Jesus Christ had as described in the Bible. To make it even worse for the deniers, even though it was carbon dated as being from between 1260-1390, this Shroud was known to exist in the Byzantine Empire and it was stolen from Constantinople in 1204 after the plunder and pillage of Constantinople by the Fourth Crusade.
Therefore the Shroud is much more older than 1260 radiocarbon dating and older than 1204 when it was stolen as it already existed in Constantinople!
The claim that it could be fake implies that someone in the 14th century died an exact same death as Jesus Christ, lashed, forced to wear a crown of thorns, nailed to the cross then wrapped in this linen shroud. Such a claim is ridiculous.
The Shroud of Turin is real, 100% authentic, it even has miraculous healing properties.

Whatever the shroud is it is NOT the burial shroud of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Scriptures of God, the Holy Bible, clearly declare that He was buried in strips of cloth not a shroud. John 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. 40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. Romanism still needs false relics to continue to deceive and mislead people!
Imagine the shroud was stocked 1000 years with the 2 radioactive stones of the 10 commands, or otherwise hidden in a cavern full of radon, into a box decorated with green beryl gems: the alpha rays of radon reacts with beryllium to create thermal neutrons, that transmute some carbon 13 of the shroud into carbon 14. The carbon 14 datation is then totally useless, younger then reality. Carbon 14 datation is not always right. Scientists are so intimately persuaded the Bible is a hoax that they could have bombarded the shroud with neutrons before measuring the carbon 14 age of the shroud…
WhaaZzDisss? It was carbon dated and proven to be a FAKE!
That specific falsehood was covered in the article, fuckwit. Carbon dating can’t “prove” or disprove anything…
“carbon dated”
carbon ‘dating’, itself, is, mostly FAKE….
