Shoot, I could write tons and tons more facts and show plenty of hard proof to try to convince them, but unless someone shows up at their door and hurts them financially right now, they will just ignore it as they will say “it’s got nothin’ to do with me”(tm).

Realistically thinking, I see this whole thing progressing over and over until someone makes a stupid mistake, starts a war over it, et cetera.
