Second, even as just the character in the gospels, he did love the sinners more than falsely religious people. Most historians agree Jesus Christ the person is likely an allegory of the Essean sect present in Judea at the time. Since both Pharisees and Sadducees are in the gospel but not Eseans it’s at least plausible. And of course the Jesus Apostle Paul talked about had nothing to do with an earthly person to begin with.
