The people never asked for these regulations in the first place. They were brought in to limit market competition. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Americans today are so pathetic, they’re actually terrified of the very air they breathe and would squeal quite loudly if anyone tried to deregulate the slaughter of animals.
Like the state police, brought into existence along about 1909 to serve automobile insurance companies at tax payer’s expense, the sheeple now actually believe they need them.
