Black people have a right to be skeptical over the Covid-19 vaccine, but not white people, a naive liberal on TikTok claims.
According to liberal logic, black people are allowed to be “vaccine hesitant” because of the government’s past history of human experimentation on the black population.
“Vaccine hesitancy in black and POC is way different than white anti-vaxxers.”
“For black and people of color that vaccine hesitancy is rooted in valid fear,” she says.
“The government has a horrible track record of treating black people and people of color, you know the Tuskegee experiments? I can understand vaccine hesitancy and sympathize with that.”
“However, for white anti-vaxxers, their reasons are rooted in willful ignorance and selfishness,” the misinformed liberal says. “The two are not comparable at all.”

She’s right, in part.
The “Tuskegee experiments” were illegal government tests in which the US Public Health Service from 1932 to 1972 purposely infected human subjects with the STD syphilis. “In that experiment,” wrote Fareed Zakaria, “some 600 impoverished African-American men were observed in a study on the progression of untreated syphilis. Some of the men were intentionally infected with the disease and all of them were denied the cure. Regrettably, the report notes, no one was held accountable for this crime against humanity.”
However, the government has also illegally experimented on white human test subjects, perhaps most famously during the CIA’s ultra-secret MKUltra projects, where they dosed even young children with LSD, mescaline and scopolamine in reported efforts to develop a mind control drug.
White subjects were also used in illegal human studies conducted by the EPA which were apparently testing the effect of PM2.5 toxic particulate matter on unsuspecting volunteers. In those studies, subjects would place their mouths on a pipe through which “fine particles” of PM2.5 diesel exhaust would be pumped into their lungs from a parked, idled truck outside the facility.
So, it turns out white people, and indeed all of the American public, also have plenty of reasons to be skeptical of the experimental vaccines!
