Frenchman Maxime Beltra died last July, hours after receiving his first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. In a video clip circulating on the Internet in recent days, a woman claims that the 22-year-old’s autopsy reveals that the young man’s death was not related to an allergy but to pericarditis cause by the vaccine. This extract is massively shared as proof of the responsibility of the anti-Covid vaccine in the death. However, the autopsy report does not provide definitive conclusions and additional analyzes will be necessary to determine the real causes of death.
Maxime Beltra is a Sétois who died on July 26, 2021, in Occitanie, nine hours after receiving his first dose of the anti-Covid vaccine from Pfizer . His death was massively publicized in France, highlighted in particular by activists opposed to vaccination against Covid-19. This case is used by the latter as an example of the dangerousness of anti-Covid vaccines in young people.
Maxime Beltra suffered from food allergy problems, particularly to peanuts , and had eaten in a restaurant the evening before his death. The first elements of the investigation did not make it possible to establish a clear link between the vaccination and the death of the young man. The problem with the insistence of food allergies is that not only he lived his entire life knowing and avoiding eating foods that he’s allergic too but somehow he magically forgot about them just within hours after he got vaccinated? Aside from that pericarditis cannot be caused by food allergies. There is no link between food allergies and inflammation of the heart.
A massively shared video
A video, evoking the autopsy report established following the death of Maxime Beltra, relaunched the controversies around his case on social networks.
According to the information in the description of the video posted on YouTube , it is taken from a conference on the “sanitary pass”, given in Nîmes on October 12. The sequence that circulates is a speech by a woman, presented as ” a citizen who has been campaigning for years for vaccine freedom while helping victims of therapy ” .
In the sequence, the woman says about the death of Maxime Beltra: “The family had requested an autopsy, the autopsy has just fallen: there was pericarditis. And not at all an allergy. So he is not dead of a peanut allergy . The video was notably shared on a fundamentalist and conspiratorial Catholic orientation site with the title: ” It is indeed the injection that killed Maxime Beltra: the autopsy confirms it ” , and taken up as proof that the vaccine would be cause of death.
Drugs and vaccines must not be administered to people with allergies. This is common medical knowledge. If someone is allergic to food, surely he’s allergic to the chemical cocktail that is in the vaccine as well. This is the pesky video that incriminates the death as vaccine induced.

What the autopsy report says
It is true that the family of Maxime Beltra had access to the conclusions of the autopsy, as confirmed by his father Fréderic Beltra with Faky RTBF. Faced with the virality of the video shared on social networks, the latter has also decided to make the last part of the report public. This, ” in order to appease, to clarify the comments that go in all directions and to let justice do its job serenely , we reiterate our full confidence in our judicial institutions so that total clarity is made on the death of our son , ” he clarified in the post on his Facebook page.
The conclusion of the report posted online by Frédéric Beltra indicates: “ Histological table showing hypereosinophilia (particularly at the pulmonary, ENT and gastric level) compatible with an allergic origin in this context. an anaphylactic shock, it is advisable to confront them with the elements of the medical file and the biological analyzes to confirm it “.
Anaphylactic shock is a violent allergic reaction that can lead to death.
Before this conclusion, a paragraph of the report shared by Frédéric Beltra indicates: ” At the cardiac level, the presence of an interstitial lymphocyte infiltrate without necrosis may indicate minimal myocarditis lesions and may explain Mr. BELTRA’s symptomatology in the days preceding his death. If this state is not directly at the origin of the death, it could induce a lesser tolerance to the clinical context ” .
There is therefore no mention of pericarditis, as stated in the video extract, but of myocarditis. Both are inflammatory heart diseases.
“ Myocarditis can have several causes, the most common being an infectious cause. This causes an inflammatory reaction, either by contact or by direct action of a virus on the heart muscle , ” explains Jean-Luc Vachiery, Clinical Professor of Cardiology. at Erasmus Hospital.
” Pericarditis, on the other hand, is an inflammation of the pericardium, which is the visceral envelope that protects the heart. This layer of cells is very thin and sensitive to inflammatory attacks. Most often, pericarditis results from an infection of the respiratory tract ” , adds the Professor.
Mention of myocarditis
On reading the extract from the autopsy report, Jean-Luc Vachiery explains about the paragraph where myocarditis is mentioned: ” Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell which are rather mobilized by chronic phenomena, so it is an observation that does not fall within the framework of allergy, which is the main hypothesis. Moreover, it is a phenomenon that cannot be counted in hours but rather in days, and which can correspond to an exposure situation to any bacteria or virus “.
For the Professor, the diagnosis is clear: “There is no indication that there was acute myocarditis or that this was the cause of death. The conclusion of the report does not speak of cardiac infiltration and myocarditis.” He adds: “Anaphylactic shock is a reaction that is instantaneous and occurs within a very short time, which would normally have occurred within minutes or within an hour of the injection of the vaccine, if that were the cause.”
Risks of rare but proven pericarditis and myocarditis
As the European Medicines Agency points out , there is a link between Pfizer’s Cominarty and Moderna’s Spikevax vaccines, and possible myocarditis and pericarditis.
In Belgium, the Superior Health Council (CSS), also indicated in July 2021 on this subject: ” It is (…) especially boys and young men under the age of 30 (70% of cases) who present these myocarditis and pericarditis within a week (to 14 days) after administration of the mRNA vaccine.According to current data, these myocarditis and pericarditis lead to only short hospital stays and the clinical symptoms disappear quickly.A fatal outcome is nevertheless possible “.
“ The vaccine-related risk of pericarditis or myocarditis is probably linked to an immune response to the vaccine that is exaggerated in some people ,” explains the cardiologist. “there are more significant reactions, especially in young adults, whose immune system is still very reactive.”
Jean-Luc Vachiery also recalls: ” The risk of developing myocarditis by having contracted SARS-Cov 2 is much higher than that linked to vaccination ” .
Additional analyzes needed
Reading the report nevertheless aroused surprise in the father of the deceased young man. “ We absolutely did not expect there to be a mention of a heart problem, explains Fréderic Beltra . There is indeed an anaphylactic shock, but for which we do not yet know the reason. We will therefore have to continue the investigations. ”
“ The investigating judge is continuing her investigation, as is the prosecutor. We were also informed that a panel of experts was apparently going to be set up to make a complete interpretation of the elements available to us , ” adds Frederic Beltra.
The father of the family also explains that he wants to stay away from ” caricatures ” and the ” anti or pro-vaccine debate ” : ” Whether I am told that he died of the vaccine or something else, that will not change me. nothing. The approach we are taking is so that we can have complete clarity on what is happening, we cannot remain with doubts on a question like that “.
The conclusion also indicates that the clinical elements present in the autopsy report must be ” confronted with the elements of the medical file and the biological analyzes ” to confirm the track of anaphylactic shock.

In this transcription, a passage that does not appear in the extract shared by Fréderic Beltra also indicates that the hypothesis currently favored by doctors is that of anaphylactic shock:
” Mode of death: natural death. Cause of death: compatible with anaphylactic shock secondary to a food allergy. Histological and biochemical expertise is recommended to confirm this hypothesis, which is the main hypothesis concerning the causes of this death. ”
No definitive conclusion at this time
The conclusions of the autopsy report therefore favor the trail of anaphylactic shock. Possible myocarditis lesions are mentioned in the report, but are not retained as the main cause in its conclusion. The report also indicates that additional analyzes are necessary to determine the causes of death.
