The minister of police proved that he is not fit for his job. This is how “wonderful” democracy is ! – the will of the majority. No matter who the majority are and no matter what their will is. Their will is always to destroy and to loot. Apparently Zuma’s daughter started this uprising using social media. It spread like wildfire. It is suppose to be a protest from the side of Zuma’s supporters, but it turned quickly into “an invitation to loot and destroy businesses” – an invitation to brake into any store and help yourself because “they” owe you. And when you are done, feel free to burn down the place or take parts of the roof to build a shack to live in. It was “low risk” for the looters, because they outnumbered the police by far. Now the police admit they were unprepared.
Fresh news is that about 200 shopping centers were destroyed; around 100 cell phone towers sabotaged and now does not function. Total deaths as of Friday 7pm = 212. Damage so far = 16 Billion ZAR. This is the real South Africa. This is exactly what we conservatives warned against since the 1980’s. Everything came true ! And don’t forget which countries’ governments in the world “pressured” South Africa into this paradise of democracy: USA; UK; Sweden; Nederland; Australia can qualify as the top 5, but the list is long.
My message to the USA and UK: The only difference between SA and you is Time. May the good people amongst you have wisdom.
