La Dauphine (The Dolphin) has reported that a fire of unknown origin occurs in a church in Eyguières.
Around 16:30, this Sunday, a fire broke out in a church in the center of the village of Eyguières, in the north of the Bouches-du-Rhone confirmed a source at the departmental service fire and rescue Bouches-du-Rhône.
The fire damaged furniture without doing any injury. About 25 firefighters have engaged in a battle to extinguish the blaze. The gendarmerie also intervened.
For the moment, according to a source at the gendarmerie, the origin of the fire is not established.
As you can see there is a poster on the church right at the door, promoting multiculturalism, after this blaze, the church might want to consider removing that poster and rethink its multicultural approach considering who are the most likely suspects to have started the fire.
Why such a poster in the first place? Instead of using a poster of Christ resurrecting or teaching the apostles or something, they chose to show a random poster promoting meaningless things?
