On Usedom, an 18-year-old has become victim of a violent crime. On Tuesday, the young woman was found dead. The investigations are aimed primarily at the private environment of the young woman.
An 18-year-old woman was found dead around 9 pm on Tuesday evening in her apartment in Zinnowitz on the island of Usedom. She was killed by multiple stabbings or cuts after the autopsy report. What kind of cuts were, the Stralsund prosecutor did not say for “tactical reasons”.
The fact is that the young woman has died from massive violence and the criminal police department of Anklam is looking for a possible offender with a large contingent of 60 officers. The investigations are aimed primarily at the personal environment of the young woman who lived on the ground floor of the private residential building.
Was the killed pregnant?
It must also be clarified whether the statement made on Facebook by acquaintances, the 18-year-old was pregnant, actually true. The prosecutor, in any case, has neither confirmed nor denied the claim. The apartment of the woman in the forest road is currently blocked by the police.
Above the official seal on the castle, traces of blood are clearly visible on the white front door. Did the offender flee the apartment and leave traces? Was it a former friend of the young woman or a stranger? Why is the place where the garbage and paper barrels of the house are located also locked and the tons may not be used?
Investigations are running high pressure
There were still no answers to many questions on Wednesday, even though the investigations are running at full speed. In front of the house in the forest road in which the killed lived, drove all day vehicles of the police and forensics before and parked there. “We do our utmost to ensure that the circumstances that led to the death of the 18-year-olds are explained as quickly as possible. For any hint of what occurred on Tatabend before and in the house, if someone ran away whether or noise could be heard if a car drove up, we are grateful,” the spokesman told the prosecutor Stralsund, Martin Cloppenburg. There is a direct suspect who is explicitly searched for, but he’s nowhere to be found.
Judging by the fact that neither the media nor the authorities are mentioning anything about the killer despite saying that they know exactly who to look for, means that it is highly likely that he is a non-European immigrant.
Message spread like wildfire
The violent crime spread in the Baltic Sea Zinnowitz like wildfire. Many people talked about it on the street, especially as the police also heard numerous neighbors and now is looking for witnesses.
The 18-year-old was a native of Stralsund, but is supposed to live in Zinnowitz for a while. The mayor of the seaside resort, Peter Usemann, who works in the rescue service himself, was completely shocked about this crime. He never thought it possible that something so terrible would happen in his community, he says.
“Then calm comes again”
Also military leader Kai Goyer was completely stunned. “It is very dreadful that a young person loses his life in such a bad way.” Zinnowitzer finds it completely unacceptable that some people in social media immediately start to speculate on the circumstances of death. He would not participate in that. “I hope the police will find the offender soon and then he will be punished. Then, peace returns to our beautiful seaside resort.”
The mother of the young woman, it was reported on Wednesday in the village, should also live in Zinnowitz. She is to be looked after by the Christliche Jugend Dorfwerk (Christian Youth Village Support) together with two younger children. The 18-year-old was the eldest child of the woman and was economically independent. The mother had collapsed on Tuesday after she heard that her daughter was killed and was hospitalized at the Wolgaster hospital.
