At least 21 people have been killed in a series of five bizarre crashes involving Sudanese air force craft and helicopters during the 24-day period from September 9 to October 3, according to the official Sudanese army’s Twitter feed.
A video which emerged of the crash showed the two aircraft landing on the same runway at the same time, and then, predictably, ramming each other.
On September 20, the Sudanese army Twitter feed reported that a “Sudanese K8- jet trainer and light attack aircraft was crashed yesterday night West of capital Khartoum during night flight training sadly both pilots was killed.”[sic]
On September 17, the Sudanese army Twitter feed announced that a “SAF mi17 crashed while landing in Nyala airport sudan west of Sudan no casualties among the crews and the passengers it was coming from routine flight from border with central African republic.”[sic]
“The Wreckage of an aircraft that plunged into Yirol River this morning killing 19 people. The victims include the Bishop of Yirol Episcopal church and an Italian Doctor. An 8-year-old girl is just one of the survivors that has been rushed to Yirol hospital for medical attention.” [sic]
In 2010, the European Union (EU) officially banned all aircraft from the Sudan from flying in European airspace, citing a failure to “adhere to the applicable international safety standards.”

According to the internationally-accepted Stanford-Binet scale of intelligence, an IQ between 70 and 79 is “borderline deficiency,” and an IQ between 50 and 69 is officially classified as “moron.”
