The president of Guatemala Jimmy Morales has announced that his country’s security forces have arrested at least 100 were illegal immigrant Middle Easterners linked to ISIS—an ominous development in light of the well-known fact that the Central American state is a clearing house for illegal immigration to the US.
According to a report in the Prensa Libre newspaper, Morales made the announcement during a speech at the second Conference for Prosperity and Security in Central America, attended by officials from the United States, the presidents of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández and the vice president of El Salvador, Óscar Ortiz, as well as secretaries of Foreign Affairs and Governance of Mexico, Luis Videgaray and Alfonso Navarrete.
According to Morales, his administration has captured “close to 100 people completely linked to terrorist issues, with ISIS and that not only have we arrested them within our territory, but they have been deported to their countries of origin.”
Duarte told Prensa Libre that, as an example of these captures, in 2016 “several citizens of Syrian origin who were detained with false documents, for which they were prosecuted and subjected to criminal proceedings.” These individuals were deported in accordance to our laws. “
The controlled media in America refused to report Morales’s remarks, with the Associated Press only reporting US Vice President Pence’s speech.
Syrian invaders have been caught in Central America and at the Texas and California borders, and some special interest alien migrants caught in Central America were linked to terrorist networks; Reuters reported last year about a Somali named Ibrahim Qoordheen who was apprehended in Costa Rica and who was on the U.S. terror watch list.
US President Donald Trump—in the middle of a nationwide election campaign drawing massive crowds in support of Republican candidates for the mid-term congressional elections—has picked up on the potential terrorist threat hiding in the invasion caravans moving north, saying on Twitter that “Sadly, it looks like Mexico’s Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States. Criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in. I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergency. Must change laws!”

Meanwhile, the Center for Immigration Studies reported that all previous evidence shows that “Middle Easterners, Bangladeshis, et al.” are smuggled up through Latin America into the US.
The CIS pointed out that Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens of the Laredo, Texas, sector went on Laura Ingraham’s show on Fox News and said more than 650 Bangladeshis had been apprehended his sector alone in 2017.
* In his speech, Guatemalan president Morales also said that in 2018, 1,250 gang members from Barrio 18 and Mara Salvatrucha had been captured, and 150 gang organizations “dedicated to extortion and murder” had been dismantled.
According to the president, his administration also managed to lower the homicide rate to 22.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, while the average in Latin America is 23 per 100,000.
