So first there was a plane carrying Saudis some 7 days ago catching fire and now a second Russian plane carrying Peruvians catches fire. That is just messed up! Perhaps those Russian airlines should be forced BY LAW to upgrade their planes and run a stricter maintenance service if they don’t do it on their own will.
If there isn’t such a law then the Duma (Russian parliament) should issue one. This is just not right.
A week after a plane carrying the Saudi Arabian national team from Moscow to Rostov caught fire in-flight, reports emerging from Russia indicate that there has been another mid-air incident aboard a Russian commercial aircraft.
A plane of the UTair airlines with 70 Peruvian World Cup fans on board was traveling from Russian city of Yekaterinburg to Tyumen. This was a part of their route to Moscow.
The Peruvian broadcaster RPP has published a video of an incident involving a passenger plane carrying the country’s fans in Russia.
According to the passengers, 20 minutes before landing, they heard a loud clap, after which the cabin began to fill with smoke. Some Peruvians suggested that this was due to a fire in the engine, where smoke was seen during the incident.
Perhaps its time to scrap all those old Soviet planes and build new ones. Even if no one has died or even injured, its still embarrassing for Russia that these things happen not just once but twice.
