The so-called Radical Right Gender Gap, the difference between male-female voting intentions for anti-immigration parties is hugely apparent in Swedish election polling.
In this graphic showing male voting intentions, we see that the “far-right” Sweden Democrats (shown in yellow) are by far the favourites, 8 points ahead of the Socialists.
But the female vote picture is completely different. Here the Socialists are the top party and the Sweden Democrats only come third. Female support for the Sweden Democrats is only half that of men.
The good news is that the Sweden Democrats top the poll of voting intentions among the youngest (18-35) age group of both sexes.
