Why do they care if the population is one third smaller (half is not realistic). The world is overpopulated as it is. Capitalism needs to stop requiring growth to function. It’s like cancer these days and the planet won’t survive too many more years of tumour growth at this rate.

I agree. But their population will be cut in half in the next 40 years. Since there are 3x as many baby boomers as millenials
