Public Law 104-45 – 104th Congress The Congress makes the following findings:
(1) Each sovereign nation, under international law and
custom, may designate its own capital.
(2) Since 1950, the city of Jerusalem has been the capital
of the State of Israel.
(3) The city of Jerusalem is the seat of Israel’s President,
Parliament, and Supreme Court, and the site of numerous
government ministries and social and cultural institutions.
December 6th – NY Times: “Trump Recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital and Orders U.S. Embassy to Move” The vote in 1995 to do the same thing wasn’t close – House: Yeas 374, Nays 37 Senate: Yeas 93, Nays 5 In 1992 candidate Clinton supported “the principle of moving our embassy to Jerusalem.” In 2000 candidate Bush said this: “Something will happen when I’m president: as soon as I take office I will begin the process of moving the U.S. ambassador to the city Israel has chosen as its capital.” And in 2008 candidate Obama told ABC News, “The fact is that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital.” But they all backtracked on their campaign rhetoric, unlike President Trump today. For those now screaming “this will destroy the peace process” we say as compared to what? All these decades of “peace” while our embassy has been in Tel Aviv? And for the globalists so worried about world opinion, in April ALL 100 U.S. Senators signed a letter to Secretary-General António Guterres demanding an end to the “unacceptable” anti-Israel bias in the UN. President Trump today showed that he doesn’t just talk the talk … HE WALKS THE WALK.
