NEWSFLASH: not everyone here is liberal. We have many rural folk in eastern areas and Central Valley, who are conservatives, very much so. Also, So. Calif. is very conservative.
This law was enacted so that victims of child sex trafficking (those under 18) won’t face criminal charges or prison for being FORCED INTO PROSTITUTION against their will. Also, many young people run away from home due to being molested by a parent. They have no way to survive other than prostitution. I don’t like it, but how else are they to survive until we actually do something to help these young people? They didn’t ask for their lot in life. For almost 20 yrs I worked with victims who were molested as children. It’s horrifying and they need protections against being jailed or arrested,because they were trafficked for sex against their wishes. These are YOUNG PEOPLE AND CHILDREN.

Instead of trying to understand this, eutimes does a hit piece on California and everyone living here. It is full of hate and blind prejudice against California and liberals. This attitude helps no one and is ugly and divisive.
Your comments say far more about YOU than about California, Californians or liberals. You have no compassion for these children and it shows – very much.
