The UK itself proves it’s quite possible. Apart from Northern Ireland and Scotland talking about their potential succession, Welsh nationalist Party Plaid Cymru is now pushing such a conversation too. The very existence of the United Kingdom is now under question.

Interestingly, in some other countries we may soon see similar things. Those are not only the mighty EU states I mean here. I’ve recently been to Ukraine, the country my parents originate from (it’s a weak economy), and Ukrainians are also set to hold a referendum on “the EU choice”, that is on the future EU membership of the country. Many Ukrainians are fully aware of the possible successions of different parts of Ukraine in the result. Should it be our worry now or not?
