In the history of Europe, when each Pope had an anointing from the Lord, the occasional foreign invaders were thwarted WITH THE DIVINE PROTECTION AFFORDED BY THE LORD. This Pope has lost his divine anointing and as a result he no longer has the benefit of divine protection to thwart the foreign invaders.
