The USA’s strategy to create a new global legal and economic system: TPP, TTIP, TISA:
The scary thing about this deal is that much of it doesn’t really
involve trade that much. It gives many multinational companies the
ability to take legal action against countries which impact their
profits and it gives pharmaceutical companies more power to set drug
prices. Also if this deal was just about trade then why are the details
of the deal so closely guarded? Much of what we know about the deal comes from leaked documents.
Also has a potentially huge impact on the ability of governments to
legislate to protect local jobs and the environment by allowing
corporations to sue them for loss of POTENTIAL profits which can run to
billions.
