What higher education has as its goal is intellectual honesty, the opposite of political correctness, which is both dishonest and abusive of the true ends of education. Education teaches reason and critical thinking, not just facts. Problem-solving skills all depend on reason, and saying you should use reason in physical sciences, and then saying to not use reason in social sciences and literature, is injurious to a student’s intellectual growth. There are tenured professors who shouldn’t even be walking other people’s dogs, who were given their honorable posts in academe simply because of their race, religion, political philosophies, and their ability to attack creativity and honesty wherever it lifts its august head.
