People have been claiming this hogwash for decades. You lose far more energy converting water into hydrogen then you would if you just used only the battery to power the vehicle.
Sure, water is a fuel source if you have another fuel source powering the

electrolysis, but then your only turning one energy source into another, at a loss in efficiency.
