This appears to be a reprint from RT, which is about as trustworthy as Pravda during the Soviet era.

At any rate, even if true can you blame them? Russia has had troops in Ukraine for over a year.

They’ve taken over Crimea. Remember how even Putin later admitted he had lied about not having Russian troops there before the takeover?

Putin has also admitted he considered using nukes in Crimea and on at least 2 other occasions within the past year has threatened to use nukes.
