Another Monsanto racket that I have came across is : Monsanto’s Golden Rice.

It is very hard to estimate damages already done by Monsanto & other Glyphosate Manufacturers to the pregnant mother and a baby yet to be born (with damaged DNA or disorder). I simply do not have any words for Glyphosate Manufacturers.

Youbetcha! Since the courts call the News “A Reality show”, that would be just the place to show it. I’d even volunteer to squeeze the rigger, pull the lever, push the button, throw the switch, release the blade or even dump the basket! :D

Harmful Effects of Genetically modified GM foods are:

Food Allergy
Food Allergy affects approximately 5% of children and 2% of adults in the U.S. and is a significant public health threat. Allergic reactions in humans occur when a normally harmless protein enters the body and stimulates an immune response.

Increased Toxicity
If other genes in the plant become damaged during the insertion process it could cause the plant to alter its production of toxins.

Decreased Nutritional Value
A genetically modified plant could theoretically have lower nutritional quality than its traditional counterpart by making nutrients unavailable or indigestible to humans.

Antibiotic resistance
In recent years health professionals have become alarmed by the increasing number of bacterial strains that are showing resistance to antibiotics. Bacteria develop resistance to antibiotics by creating antibiotic resistance genes through natural mutation. This may lead to hard to cure diseases or disorders.

This would create a serious public health problems.

It has been estimated that 80% of all processed foods in the United States contain at least one genetically modified ingredient—usually a product of soy plants. There are initiatives afoot to require food manufacturers to provide clear labeling on processed food products that contain genetically modified ingredients. This would make it easier for people with allergies to avoid foods that might pose a danger to them, and it would allow those who oppose genetically modified foods to opt out of buying them.

Unlike countries such as Australia and Japan, the United States and Canada currently have no laws requiring companies to label products containing genetically modified ingredients.

The Right to Know

Buyers and consumers have a right to know what’s they are buying what’s in their plates. Countries that require labels for GM foods include China, Australia, and the European Union. But the US and Canada do not make food companies mark or label the GM products with GM ingredients. So it’s no surprise many Americans and Canadians don’t realize what they’re eating.
