Even IF a star loses matter and cannot become a black hole when it dies and instead becomes a grey hole, as these objects combine over time, and they do without doubt, they become black holes because their mass grows tremendously each time they combine with another similar object.

Dark matter is a scam it does not exist.
Super massive black holes have enough gravitational power, aside from that we dont really know whats inside a black whole or to where does it lead, parallel universes should also be taken into account when speaking about black holes and their gravitational field, they are in close connection wich we dont yet understand.

Dark matter is what holds the galaxies in place the gravitational pull of a black hole is’t strong enough to hold the galaxies together.

Unfortunately black holes have been indirectly observed a countless times, acretion disks, jets, strange moving high speed stars around a seemingly empty region, what dou you thin keeps the Galaxies together from what comes their rotations, or spiral arms? Without black holes there would be no life in the Universe.
