What Obama didn’t say was that the US government has no jurisdiction to investigate the crash of MH-17 which involves the Ukraine, Malaysia, and the EU/Netherlands.

MH-17 was not shot down on US soil, no US laws are applicable, and although one US dual citizen was on the aircraft, it remains the responsibility of the Ukraine and Malaysia to investigate the crash.

Nobody appointed Obama as the chief investigator for the world’s airlines, and nobody appointed the US government to act as a prosecutor to accuse Russia before any investigation has been done.

Every nation has an airline crash investigation unit. Obama should have let them do their work before jumping to the erroneous conclusion that Russia was responsible.
