The Ottoman Empire brutally oppressed ALL minorities in the conquered territories and on its own as well (as good Muslims should do to all non-Muslims or Kafirs). The Armenian minorities might have had a push back against this type of discrimination but the response of the Ottoman Imperialist Empire was totally out of proportion. The exiled many 10s of thousands of Armenians to Syria where they perished and killed 100s of thousands more. You get what you ask for. One more point: I current day Turkey is against the law to even talk about the Ottoman Turk’s atrocities against the Armenians. If they are clean why so? They should come clean but the discussion on this topic is unlawful and draws prison sentence.
