The only reason why U.S. forces invaded that country was to forcibly extradite Osama bin Laden.

The Taliban was not a declared “enemy” and they were willing to extradite bin Laden but only demanded evidence of guilt before extraditing him, and the Bush administration apparently had no evidence of bin Laden’s guilt.

So here we are, 13 years later, and years after bin Laden’s death, still in a country with which we had no declared war.
