Fewer but larger fish create a more delicate food chain that is subject to mass disaster from unknown events in the future.

There was nothing wrong with the salmon that nature made. The answer to more meat is to breed more natural salmon, not create some sort of monster fish that could die off quickly because it was never created by nature.

The solution to hunger is to have more farmers, not more eugenics experiments. Companies that make carpets and chemicals have no business trying to be farmers. People want real food, not experimental lab products. The FDA would probably approve human cadaver meat if there was a market for it.
