I hope this charismatic and compassionate freely elected leader of Venezuela comes through his latest cancer surgery. Chavez is demonized because he won’t play kiss arse to the corporate/military complex of the USA. After the US’s evil doing(e.g. overthrow of Allende in Chile circa 1974 for copper etc) in South America for more than half a century or more, Is it any wonder that South America(exception Columbia)have increasingly freed themselves from US and South American elite’s control? But even in the 2000’s the US tried helping with failed coup de tats on Chavez, Correa, Morales,etc. They have only succeeded by ousting Zelaya, which is bad enough. And Zelaya was ousted because he merely wanted to lift the working people of his country out of misery with a fair wage. Post ww2, USA has become the most aggressive empire, mostly covertly or by backing dictators, for the sake of corporations profits. These US multimillionaires and billionaires are socio and psychopaths. They can never get enough, and will make life miserable and even kill the innocents to get more and more resources and money. Greed is an addiction more destructive to the people of the world than drug addiction.

It is the corporations and the 1% who run the US government and the gop and dem parties. As all voracious empires the US will devore itself and the world will be a better place and USA will return to being an equal in the world’s family of republics.
