Speaking of Gog and Magog, the following delineations will greatly clarify the end-time scenario. Cut and dried, Matthew 24:4-8 is the first half of the tribulation, and Matthew 24:9-14 is the second half of the tribulation. Matthew 24:15-28 is a recapitulation or recap of the second half of the tribulation, and Matthew 24:29-31 is the end, followed immediately by the resurrection of the dead, the rapture of all living believers, and the judgment of the ungodly cf. 2nd Th. 1:3-10; 1st Th. 4:13-5:3; 1st Cor. 15:51-57.
Now regarding Gog and Magog: the current political revolutions (Arab Spring) and national alignments (Muslim Brotherhood) are now falling into place for the fulfillment of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 — the Illuminati-planned World War Three pitting Islam against Western Zionism in order to eliminate both and usher in their New World order; for there is no room in their New World Order for Islam, Judaism and Christianity — only the worship of Lucifer.
The person of the Antichrist first makes a peace treaty between Israel and the Arabs/Muslims seven years before the end, as he becomes ever more influential and powerful cf. Dan. 9:27; 11:36-39. Then the world starts saying “peace and safety in the Middle East” until the time that this treaty is broken, when the Arabs together launch a concerted surprise attack according to the prophecy which follows, and the Antichrist then wars with these Arab/Muslim countries and repels them as delineated in the several stages laid out in Daniel 11:40-43.
Thus this group of united Arab nations will initially attack tiny Israel in concert, and be defeated by her according to the following prophecies: look for the fulfillment of Psalm 83 all; Isaiah chapter 17 all; Zephaniah chapter 2 all; Jeremiah 49:1-27; Obadiah all; Ezekiel 28:21-26. All these scripture passages describe the conquest and destruction of united Arab/Muslim nations — the seed of Lot, Ammon and Moab, and Ishmael and Esau — by tiny Israel in the last days. The geopolitical changes and revolutions are now occurring, setting the stage for these above prophecies to be fulfilled.
The modern nations representing the above Arab/Muslim peoples initially attacking Israel are: Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi-Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and the Palestinian peoples. Russia with Iran will initially be letting these nations do their dirty work. This will be the first of two waves of warfare in the Middle East. First the Antichrist repeatedly defends Israel by repelling and utterly defeating the above listed Arab/Muslim nations, further occupying even more territory in the Middle East than in former Israeli wars.
The second wave of warfare in the Middle East will be retributive or retaliatory in nature by the following united nations: Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Eritrea, Somalia, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan. These will together attack Israel according to Ezekiel 38, 39 and Daniel 11:44. The European Union, South Africa and the United States will merely give lip service to this attack without even venturing to defend their long-time ally Israel (Ezek 38:13). A simultaneous preemptive nuclear exchange occurs in which Russia, China, North Korea and certain South American countries first attack and neutralize the United States and Europe, especially with nuclear subs that have been stealthily brought close to our shores under oil tankers, and which are then strategically settled onto the ocean floor near to their targets until needed, while the tankers move on, leaving them behind; and then after this initial concerted surprise attack is made, they will invade the crippled states with ground troops across our northern and southern borders, and from sleeper-cells waiting within: Ezek. 39:6; Zech. 14:12-15.
The above united nations in the second invasion of Israel under the direction of Russia will be miraculously stopped and summarily destroyed in the Middle East. Antichrist will arrogantly claim the miraculous destruction of the enemies of Israel by God as his own doing, and those who know not scripture will follow and worship him. Men will be able to say, “Who is like him? Who is able to make war with him?” The Mosque of Omar/Dome of the Rock will be destroyed in this warfare, finally opening up the opportunity for Israel to rebuild her temple again on Mount Moriah/Mount Zion — the Temple Mount according to Daniel 11:45 and 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-4. This ends the major events of the first three and a half years — the first half of the tribulation.
(“That hindering until it is taken out of the way” — 2nd Thessalonians 2:6-7 — rather than referring to the influence of the Church being removed because of apostasy, it could possibly be referring to this Mosque of Omar/Dome of the Rock. It needs to be removed to make room for the Jewish Temple to be built in its place so that Antichrist could be publicly exposed/revealed to those in the know for who and what he actually is — Satan incarnate — the false Christ presented to the Jewish people cf. 2nd Th. 2:4; Mat. 24:15; Mk. 13:14; but the immediate context of that Thessalonian passage is the Church holding Antichrist back until it apostatizes and has no further preserving influence in the world.)
In building the Temple, Israel unwittingly creates the conditions for the Antichrist to promote himself as their Messiah — God manifested in flesh — and he will then be able to stand in the freshly built Jewish Temple claiming himself to be God, thus initiating the Great Tribulation of Jacob’s Trouble upon those who do not accept him as such cf. Dan. 7:(1-18)19-27; 11:45-12:1-3; 2nd Th. 2:3-12; Mt. 24:15-28; Mk.13:14-23; Lk. 17:20-37; 21:10-11. It will be about three and a half years or 1260-1290 days from this point until the second coming of Christ cf. Dan. 12:1-13; Mt. 24:29-31; Mk. 13:24-27; Lk. 21:25-36. God will personally intervene with the coming of Christ to destroy the Antichrist and judge the world. Meanwhile, before this, during the 1260-1290 days, Antichrist will be persecuting and murdering 2/3 of those Jews who refuse to honor and worship him and they all will die. But 1/3 of them will be preserved by God and refined through the trial, Joel all; Ezek. chaps. 38 and 39 all; Zech. chaps. 12, 13 and 14 all; Luke 21:36). In mercy God cuts short those days with the coming of Christ, otherwise no flesh would survive. The survivors are then judged and the righteous ushered into the kingdom and the raptured saints then rule and reign with Christ over this kingdom at or around the 1335 day mark. Thus ends the current discussion of the wars, the tribulation, and Gog and Magog.
