It takes no faith to believe in billions of years, it takes reason.
to get rid of judgement and guilt would indeed be a great thing, no more religious wars, no more terrorists.
I’m assuming you were brought up christian, so it’s all you have known, what if you were brought up in Afghanistan, or India, or Ancient Greece, do you still really think you would believe the same “word of god”. No, you would believe whatever your parents and your culture told you was the “truth”.
And what is this “New World Order Agenda”? -Peace, science, reason, advancement of human knowledge?
Why rid the world of 90% of the population like me? You condemning me to death sounds very familiar in the “God-lovers” long and disgusting history.
It’s a fact that the most religious states (in the US) have higher crime rates than the most atheistic states.
Why are you Jesus lovers so miserable?

My mistake..
Evolution IS proven science at this point.
Carbon dating may have been drafted 200 years ago, but the measure of radioactive isotopes has been very recent, and very reliable.
If you have trouble believing in a proven science that is merely 200 years old, what makes the Bible, which is almost 10x as old, any more believable?
It’s not scientifically relevant, it holds no proof of any claims, nor do the ten commandments hold up to what we believe as ethical in modern culture (no mention of slavery, child molestation, etc.)
I’ve questioned my beliefs, and science is more reliable and continues to evolve with what we understand, and to learn more. Reason is religions greatest enemy for a reason, because it leads to a loss of their power and control.

How can you be that ignorant that you actually believe the Earth is under 10,000 years old, that a Virgin gave birth to a human, that an elderly man herded 2 of each animal into a ship and fed/removed their waste for over a month, that we all descended from two individuals, and some “god” is always present, knows everything, and listens to everyone’s prayers simultaneously!
Jesus may have existed as a person, but only Paul wrote of an actual figure Jesus, and this did not include all of the virgin birth nonsense and many of the supposed miracles performed. Jesus died around 30-35 AD right? Well the gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke were all written well after 70AD. Do the math.
His story was passed on orally until it was written down. Now when was the last time you told a story and exaggerated the plot to make it sound better, these stories are no different.
Religions provide a sense of security, in that you can do whatever you want, as long as you love god you will be happy after death. We all fear death, but to depend on an imaginary friend to save you is improbable and quite delusional. Santa, Easter bunny, and tooth fairy are all God-like figures, you reach an age when you figure it out for yourself, religion should be no different.
What makes Jesus and God so much more believable than Thor, Zeus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.?
As you can see, when your religion is challenged, you respond with anger and wish to rid the world of “people like me”. That sounds like true words spoken from a Bible-lover. While your on your knees Sunday morning talking to your imaginary friend praying for health and world peace, I’ll be taking action in my life to better myself and my community.

Dr Z you need to read the bible before you criticize it lol Matthew, Mark,Peter, John just a few who knew walked and talked with Jesus.
Takes faith to believe in billions of years… get rid of God you get rid of any Judgement and Guilt.

This alone fails on multiple levels, beginning with the fundamental logical composition of the sentence itself.

It would at least be personally proactive to question what each believes, in the context of Evolution, the 200+ year old Carbon based dating system drafted by a single geologist, again over 200 yrs. ago, should be questioned to begin with…

Religion is mankind’s greatest enemy.
So you’re saying you actually believe a virgin woman was impregnated by a god and gave birth to a person who was also a god. This fatherless god/man revived dead people, and died himself, only to come back to life.
All accounts of Jesus’s life were written decades after his death by people who did not know him.
Evolution is pretty much proven science at this point, natural selection easily explains what you dismiss.
Half organs, and a lizard sprouting feathers didn’t occur as abruptly as you believe, but took millions of years and millions of generations to develop. But if you believe the Earth is 6000 years old then its the only feasible explanation.
If you are willing to believe the Earth is Billions of years old, this goes against the Bible’s teachings. If you can make an adjustment for time and evolution then we must look at the Bible as a whole as misinterpreted and potentially (and probably) false.

In accordance with Adam and Eve, they had two sons, one got killed. So this in turn means we are all the result of a large line of incest and inbreeding, Right?

Science does not have all of the answers, if we did, there would be no need for it. To fill in the gaps in science with “God” until a scientific explanation is found is simply ridiculous and makes this “God” less and less believable.

This world would be much better off without religion.
