Saying “Last year he even had to publish his birth certificate to silence doubters….” is an exaggeration. President Obama did not ‘have’ to publish anything. He and his advisers decided it would be worth publishing the certificate in order to quite the “noise” generated by conspiracy buffs. Nothing he could do would ever “silence” the fanatics. He only wished to calm anyone who was made doubtful, but who still retained a modicum of ability to think clearly. Much of the rest of the article just dredges up racist and trivial old points that have no real relevance in the present.
