North Korea has issued a threat to launch a rocket into space today, a move viewed by Americans as a potential ballistic missile test.
During his East Asia trip, David Cameron sternly warned North Korea against proceeding with the rocket launch, emphasizing that it would violate UN resolutions. The North Korean government insists that the rocket is intended solely for placing a satellite in orbit and poses no threat.
Despite these assurances, both the United States and Japan remain skeptical, with Japan preparing its anti-missile systems in response to the perceived threat. Prime Minister Cameron labeled the potential launch as a breach of UN edicts and stressed the need to convey a clear message to North Korean leadership.
“We need to send a very clear message to the North Korean leadership,” Cameron stated. “They are not even able to feed their own people, and yet they seem to be able to put satellites in the sky. They have a very clear choice. This regime needs to take a different path if it wants to be able to engage with the world.”

I think all those fearful types will be surprised of the NKs –
the NKs just want to manoeuvre themselves into a strong position,
they are NOT crazy.
They may be the next No1 place of outsourcing to Asia.
But only after they have been accepted as a full,
non-“evil” member of global community, not as dangerous
3rd world nutty mutant gung-ho stone-age men.
They also want to teach arrogant South Korea a lesson in
“how exactly to manage capitalism”, in other words this is
a new small China aka Vietnam with some more independence
than the normal tiger states who have no nukes.
Nukes get to be a status symbol these days…
same as satellites.
