Yeah, we may get hit by a CME, it is certainly possible, but I believe that man-made calamities (wars)will prevail.
If the news about an approaching rogue planet spreads too fast, say good-by to Internet and say welcome again to daily newspapers.
The out-coming news through newspapers are so much easier to control!

This UN initiative is designed to accomplish all of these things mentioned in the article, under the guise of “Environmental Sustainability.” These initiatives are being accomplished by signing on U.S. local governments (mostly counties) onto the UN scam.

You must be a Bible thumper, a bigot, or a cracker to have taken such offense to my words. I do agree that we are on the road to self-destruction, but that has been going on for a very long time. Oppression with a capital “O” and the worship of Money and Things (that money can buy) drives this country, rather than Care of People and Respect for our Environment. It is a cultural, societal, systemic dilemma that we face. My point was that President Barack Obama did not create this mess, nor should he be blamed for it.

This is pure rubbish! There is no threat to the normal economic flow in the U.S. The National Defense Resources Preparedness executive order is a precautionary safeguard in the event of a genuine nationwide “emergency.” This article is yet another “scare tactic” attempt to paint President Obama as some sort of extreme socialist who is bent on breaking the free enterprise system. Nothing could be further from the truth. Europe has its fair share of right wing “wingnuts” just like in the U.S. There has been an occasional lame attempt by GOP presidential candidates to use this executive order to portray Obama as an “un American” left wing extremist with an exotic, “foreign” background but it hasn’t gotten any traction as the public doesn’t believe it. Obama has governed as a sensible “moderate” in an otherwise dysfunctional Washington political cesspool. The U.S. has been severely polarized for the last two decades so there are lots of “haters” on both the right and left, but Obama’s conduct in his Presidency has pretty much put to rest the “extremist” label, except for the virulent “very conservative” voters who are primarily Bible thumpers and bigots. Thankfully, their numbers continue to decrease as the aging Southern “crackers” make up a smaller and smaller percentage of the American populace.
