The actual danger is not Iran or any “Islamist Extremism”
(which is basically on the decline since years, having served
it´s usefulness) nor Russia or China, both profiting from a very
rational leadership.

The danger lies with the Western democracies, as democracies by their
nature are not rational – their leaders have to try and please
their Hoy Polloi, nothing good comes from that and then there
is Israel with it understandable but self-inflicted Angst…

I can see no problem that couldn´t be resolved by sane people
however many are not that sane – and I am not talking
about the Taliban or Terrorists.

I am talking about certain lobbies mostly in the US who seem
to have gotten addicted to starting and waging wars and are very
much afraid of losing *all that influence* they have been enjoying
over many decades… they would rather burn the globe
than become just one more part of a global economy.
