Welcome to the emerging dystopian world of the US.

The brain dead will wake up one day and there will be no power, the water is off, petrol is either stupendously expensive or not available, their kids will be conscripted, game and reality shows will be replaced by public service broadcasts on security and what do when a nuke goes off.

If there is an EMP bomb there will no be TV, radio, the Internet, etc, and 90% of Americans will not only be brain dead but physically dead also.

Answer: the majority. There are too many “reality” TV programs to watch for the drones to care about what is happening.

A bit off topic, but I want to put this out there so people can watch to see if this happens…

I am a former commercial diver in the GoM. I transferred out of our diving division and into deepwater installation in 2002. (I do NOT currently work in the field)What we did was install wellheads and safety devices for deepwater rigs in the gulf.

During the Bush administration a series of deregulations in the industry took place. (That is still denied, but working in the industry it was VERY apparent.) These regulations dealt with safety proceedures and testing of safety devices…which were at that time called UTAs – or Underwater Terminal Access – which were placed on the ocean floor a few miles away from the rig. This allowed manual operation of the wellhead in the event the rig was lost.

Then in comes the Obama administration and the Deepwater Horizon incident. I could state how that whole spill was exploited for political purposes. I could point out that it became obvious it was all a show when the administration sought the advice of a movie producer on how to stop the leak instead of consulting with underwater service companies, or point out that said movie producer is now moving out of the country. But it is all history and I am only concerned here in the end result. The result of that was an order to stop all DEEP WATER drilling in the Gulf. For the layman that doesn’t sound all that bad. But having worked in the oil patch I can shed a little light on this. When we started drilling in the Gulf we didn’t have the abilities to get to the ocean floor at greater depths so we drilled in shallow water (1000ft and shallower). Anywhere we found oil we could reach we drilled it. As our capabilities increased, so did the depth at which we could drill. But we were still pumping from those shallow wells. Those wells has since been tapped and capped. They are supposedly empty leaving only deep water to be surveyed and drilled (for the most part). So by stopping all deepwater drilling we were basically shutting down Gulf drilling as MOST our shallow water reserves had already been depleted.

Since then he has stated that we could drill all we wanted and it wouldn’t affect the price of gas…which is TRUE to a certain degree! (Holy cow, the man CAN state facts!) The problem isn’t getting to the oil, it’s with the refinement. The fact is we have limited REFINING capabilities. (And the EPA has made it impossible to build more refineries.)

Then along comes Canada purposing a pipeline so they can sell us their oil…which Obama has placed on the back shelf. When he did so, many people started protesting and critizing him.

Now, he has (quietly) taken two of our oil refineries offline. Why?

Based on his past actions I have a theory. He is going to allow either drilling to resume in the Gulf OR (and my first guess) he is going to have to cave under pressure to open up the keystone pipeline (due to him being powerless to stop the southern leg of the line from being built.) Doing either one will put the cost of gasoline back under $3.00 a gallon…IF we were running at FULL REFINING capabilities…which we no longer are due to the shutting down of those two refineries.

Now all he has to do is allow more oil to flow. When the price of gas fails to fall he can then go out and make the claim he “listened” and acted as we wanted him to but the results were exactly as he said they would be…no effect to the price at the pump.

Has anyone besides myself tuned in to this show? Here in the US, probably not. I only wish I could change the channel. The actors are as bad as soap opera “stars.”
