Argentina did not exist when the first British settlers got there in the 1760’s. I advise anyone to read up on ‘Argentine control’ between 1820-33. And the Falklands is not a colony. Did I mention poor journalism?

Otherwise the strategic point makes only
sense to Britain, so there really
is no important issue.

Even that war in the 80s was only about
emotional stuff, a nonsense.

Also how are the South Americans going to ignore that fact that there are several thousand inhabitants that don’t anything to do with Argentina.
