Baloney. He is trying to shut down the coal industry in America because most coal mines are independent small businesses that can’t be controlled. He is responsible for the closing of 5 coal plants. Meanwhile, the UN is funding the building of coal mines in China.

The blogger (blogger != reporter) also fails to mention that the coal industry can easily EXPORT the coal to other coal-burning countries!! I was in Australia a few years ago, and my cousin was lamenting that since the big China / US contaminated-goods scandals, many Chinese factories were shut down. As a further consequence, Australia’s economy suffered due to the fact that China was purchasing large amounts of Australian coal to fuel those factories.. America can just as easily sell its coal to other countries who are willing to use it.
