It is certain that fear can bring greater attention than happiness hence many prophetic individuals can gain a rapid following by telling us scary stories. How impressed would we be with an individual telling us everything is going to be alright :)

It may not be doomsday for Earth but it certainly was doomsday for all those hundreds of thousands who died in Indonesia, Haiti, Chile, China etc, who have perished in the past few years, not to mention the unknown casualties yet to be counted in Japan. Let’s not kid ourselves, the Earth is going through major changes and we will all get a taste. I won’t really worry until we all abandon the International Space Station or a ginat CME is heading our way.
